Hetherlow Housing

Hetherlow is a three-phase residential regeneration project to provide 111 new social rent and shared ownership replacement homes. This scheme was part of a regeneration project developed by Arena Housing (Now called Your Housing Group) for the Liverpool Housing Action Trust to provide a total of 111 new social rent and shared ownership replacement homes on the former site of 2 tower blocks, a low-rise flat block, and a former City Council waste transfer depot.

Phase one of the project saw the development of 42 new build apartments in 3 blocks fronting Liverpool’s Queens Drive. Phase two consisted of the development of the low-rise housing, and the final phase of the development was the creation of a fourth block of flats, totalling 111 new homes across the site.

This scheme was designed to Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design standards so that many of the existing elderly residents could continue living independently within their community. The scheme was also designed to Eco-Homes Very Good Standard.
