Area 1,574sqm

This project was part of the enabling works that allowed for the development of the Liverpool One project. Built to replace the Canning Place Fire Station that was situated on the site of the current John Lewis Building.

This Community Fire Station serves Liverpool City Centre as a four bay Appliance Room laid out in a drive through arrangement giving direct access on to St. Anne Street. The original design was based on the retention and conversion of two listed buildings that proved to be structurally unsound and were demolished. The new building reflects the scale and form of the original listed buildings.

Facilities include the Station Office, Watch Commanders Office, Communications Room, Night Rooms and Washrooms. The first floor contains Lecture Room, Study Room, and Kitchen/Dining facilities. The top floor of the building provides facilities for community use and a hospitality suite.
