St Leonards Medical Centre

The new medical centre includes 26 consulting rooms, 6 treatment rooms and a training suite, becoming a modern health hub for up to 20,000 patients in the south west area of Hastings. As a health hub it will be able to facilitate services locally and ease pressure on the local hospital. 

The steel frame construction was built on piled foundations and incorporates bespoke rain screen cladding. 

With space on the site a premium, the plant room was designed to be provided on the roof with an acoustic surround.

The scheme was built to BREEAM Excellent and completed in October 2020. The project is a strong sign of our commitment and resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Alongside Till Asset Management, and construction partner Westridge, we have managed to not only continue on site during the pandemic, but have finished the development on time. Contractors, Westridge, put site management measures in place to reduce all opportunity for social contact on site to continue construction despite the challenges of coronavirus, in line with Government advice, HSE and CIC guidance. 

We are incredibly proud to have delivered the project during such difficult times, especially when the need for medical facilities was so prevalent.
