Alf’s interests in social, cultural and economic aspects of urban development leads to his belief that cities need to continue to re-invent themselves for sustainable evolution. He is interested in adaptive reuse of buildings and urban fabrics with community engagements.
Alf was qualified at Liverpool John Moores University and received a Masters degree in Construction Management from Bath University. He has also received executive management training from Harvard Law School, Franklin Covey Leadership Programme, Liverpool Business School and Richard Ivey Business School.
Alf has been appointed as Adjunct Associate Professor at Chinese University of Hong Kong in the past. He has also served as visiting critic in many schools of architecture including University of Liverpool, Manchester School of Architecture and National University of Singapore. In 2002, he has also been appointed as member of the Advisory Board at University of Liverpool Management School
