List of past projects worked on at Brock Carmichael:

Favourite buildings in Liverpool:

Anfield Stadium: Although not an architectural marvel it’s the main reason I decided to become an Architect. Going to Anfield as a young lad and watching the redevelopment of the Kemlyn Road stand into the Centenary Stand fascinated me. I remember thinking how does the roof stay up without falling over!

Stanley Dock Warehouse: Is the largest brick building in the world. I drive past every day and the scale, presence and beauty of this warehouse is phenomenal

Favourite buildings in the World:

The Parthenon, Athens: How did they actually build it? I’ve visited it numerous times, considering it’s 2,500 years old it’s in better shape than some buildings in Liverpool! I am amazed to think such a grand building and mathematical work of art on a hill top could have been built, then and survived so long.

Empire State Building, New York, Shreve Lamb & Harman (1931): was the tallest building in the world for 40 years and built in only 1 year and 45 days.
