Favourite Brock Carmichael Project

I really like the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool and the journey it’s been on in recent years, transforming from being mostly run down warehousing to attracting so many new businesses and things to do. I think our work for the new 4-star Hotel there will further add to elevating the Baltic Triangle and continue its growth.

Favourite Building in Liverpool

Difficult to choose just one, my favourite buildings in Liverpool have to be The Three Graces; the Royal Liver Building, built between 1908 and 1911 and designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas, followed by the Cunard Building, constructed between 1914 and 1916 as the former headquarters of the Cunard Line shipping company and a grade II* listed building. Finally, the Port of Liverpool Building, built from 1903 to 1907, also grade II* listed. It is the former home of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board. All three are globally recognised and make our waterfront iconic world-wide, we are very lucky to have them.

Favourite Building in the World

After visiting Hong Kong I fell in love with its modern vision in architecture. The Bank of China Tower soon became my favourite, towering over the city at 1,025 feet high and demanding your attention. Its mirrored exterior glistens through the day, and is then brought to life with the river front light show at night. The distinct design and magnitude of this building with its rectangular shapes and glass walls is spectacular.
