Steve joined Brock Carmichael Architects in 1990.  He has led major projects in masterplanning, education, leisure, transport, social enterprise, regeneration and affordable housing, delivering award winning low carbon designs and leads the Practice’s development in sustainable and environmental conscious design.  He is an effective communicator with vast experience in community consultation and stakeholder engagement, collaborative working and has an impressive reputation for proactive problem solving.

Favourite Building in Liverpool:

Mersey Tunnel Ventilation Building at the Pier Head. Herbert J Rowse’s finest work. It could have been so less of a masterpiece for such a functional, utilitarian building.

Favourite Building in the World:

University of London Senate House, Charles Holden. Because of its breath-taking scale..
